Before I’m thirty, which all the sudden doesn’t feel so far away, there are a few things I want to accomplish. I’ve been listening to a lot of podcasts about the power of positive thinking and the power of lists, so I’ve decided instead of having these goals float in my head, I should put them on paper and send them out into the world with all the intent that I’ll achieve them.
I want to get my Master’s in Business. I started school in January and I already can’t wait for the moment I’m finished and accomplished the thing I’ve set out to do. Going part-time, while working full-time means it will take a bit longer than for most, but I’m up for the challenge and can’t wait to get my degree.
Secondly, I want to travel overseas before I’m thirty, I want to see England and Scotland, but I also want to go to Greece. Mostly I want to see London, Brighton, Bath, Edinburgh, and Mykonos. Most of the traveling I’ve done thus far has been via cruise ship, and while I’ve loved every piña colada sipping tropical vacation I’ve been on, I really want to go on a trip to see more of the world, one where I need rain-boots and a blank journal.
Lastly, my number one goal, and the absolute biggest and most expensive one, is to buy a house. Lately, house hunting online serves as an outlet to destress for me. I’ll look at hardwood floors, fresh paint, and feel a sense of relief to know that one day I’ll have a space of my own. I can’t wait to be a homeowner.
What do you guys think? Does list making and writing goals down help you achieve them? Fingers crossed.
